The quiz

The results on the European quiz were interpreted as follows:
- it is obvious that many students are familiar with the famous places in Europe
- on the other hand the European Union has not been the topic of the lessons yet
German team noted the good knowledge of Turkey as a result of good exchange programmes between the two countries and students' own experience. Negative questions were a result of badly formed questions (i.e. the number of German islands should be more or less than 10) or the fact, that German students have not learnt much about the northern countries yet.
Slovenian students did not take the quiz very seriously- hence the negative results even on the easiest question about their own country.
Spain had a very good selection of questions and is one of the well known countries in Europe therefore the expected positive results.
Romanian team explained that little is known about Romania in general.
Norwegian team noted that their curriculum is based on Western Europe only and added that the quiz questions were not typical questions for eight graders.
Turkey's flag is well known but the sights are not known among the students, with the exception of German students.
It was suggested that in the future the quiz matching questions should allow at least two more possibilities to avoid marking wrong answers as a whole.

Despre rezultatele elevilor din Şcoala cu clasele I-VIII Poroinica:
Din analiza chestionarului aplicat elevilor clasei a VIII-a din Şcoala cu clasele I-VIII Poroinica a reieşit faptul că aceştia au cunoştinţe foarte bune cu privire la Uniunea Europeană, situându-se pe primul loc la răspunsuri corecte în cazul întrebărilor referitoare la numărul statelor membre ale UE, la ziua Europei şi la limbile oficiale ale UE. Rezultate peste medie au fost obţinute la întrebările propuse de Spania, în vreme ce rezultate slabe au fost observate la întrebările propuse de Germania.
În ansamblu, s-a putut observa faptul că elevii şcolii noastre au cunoştinţe bune cu privire la culturile ţărilor partenere, fapt care se datorează interesului manifestat de aceştia pentru cultura generală, cât şi activităţilor desfăşurate la clasă.
Pe de altă parte, răspunsurile elevilor din şcolile partenere la întrebările propuse împreună cu colegii noştri de la Satu Mare reflectă un lucru binecunoscut - lipsa cunoştinţelor referitoare la România. Cu siguranţă, în cadrul reuniunilor de proiect cadrele didactice şi elevii participanţi au reuşit să îmbunătăţească gradul de cunoaştere a României printre partenerii noştri.
