Proiectul “EUROPEAN PATCHWORK” a reunit 7 şcoli partenere din 6 ţări (Slovenia, Spania, Germania, Norvegia, Turcia şi România). Ideea participării Şcolii cu clasele I-VIII Poroinica la un proiect de parteneriat multilateral a reieşit în cursul discuţiilor cu colegi din mai multe ţări europene purtate în cadrul conferinţei anuale a profesorilor de istorie reuniţi în asociaţia EUROCLIO, desfăşurată în localitatea Bled, Slovenia, între 20-25 martie 2007. Cu această ocazie, am stabilit un contact permanent cu Vilma Nečimer, profesor de istorie la Osnovna šola Šenčur, Slovenia, cu care am creionat ideile de bază ale proiectului. Treptat, s-au alăturat acestui proiect: Natasha Ligeti (Zimmermann), profesoară de Limba engleză la IGS Mornewegschule mit Grundstufe und Ganztagsangebot (Europaschule) din Germania, Mark Anna-Blanka, profesoară de Geografie la Liceul de Artă “Aurel Popp” din Satu Mare, România, Anne Kjersti Jacobsen, profesoară la Ramstad Skole din Høvik, Norvegia, Tanca Subasioglu, profesoară de Limba engleză la Özel Final Okullari din Bursa, Turcia, şi Celinda Mesa Jimenez, profesoară de arte plastice la I.E.S. Montes de Toledo, Spania. După o muncă susţinută, sub atenta supraveghere a coordonatorului din Slovenia, am finalizat proiectul, l-am depus la Agenţiile Naţionale şi… am fost cu toţii aprobaţi. Iar acest website prezintă, pe scurt, munca noastră din aceşti 2 ani.
Proiectul a fost finanţat cu sprijinul Comisiei Europene cu suma de 15.000 euro şi s-a derulat pe o perioadă de 2 ani (2008-2010), în cadrul Programului Sectorial Comenius, componentă a Programului de Învăţare pe Tot Parcursul Vieţii.
